My favourite wedding captures from Oakwood House, Maidstone 2025

I’ve been hired for a lot of weddings this year at Oakwood House, some micro-weddings and some that were followed by a separate venue for the wedding breakfast with a large number of guests. It’s been a real mix—quiet, emotional ceremonies with just a handful of loved ones, as well as full-scale celebrations where Oakwood House served as the backdrop before everyone moved on for an evening of food, music, and dancing.
I’ve shot in the Garden Room, The Study and the Kentish Suite multiple times, and each space has its own character. The Garden Room is naturally bright and airy, perfect for clean, vibrant images. The Study offers a warm, classic feel with its rich textures and intimate layout, ideal for couples looking for a more traditional or cosy aesthetic. The Kentish Suite, being the largest, accommodates bigger gatherings with ease and allows for more dynamic coverage—from wide shots of the entire room to candid moments happening all around. I’ve captured celebrations with large attendances of family and friends, as well as smaller ceremonies where every moment feels deeply personal. The Kentish Suite peaks at around 80 guests whilst The Study holds only about 15, which creates two completely different atmospheres and storytelling approaches.
In the album below is a handful of some of my favourite captures from across these weddings. The cameras used were a mix of the Panasonic S5ii with the 24mm F1.4 and the Tamron 35–150mm F2–2.8 lenses, which allow me to move quickly between wide environmental shots and close, emotional moments. I also brought out the Fuji GFX 100s paired with the 80mm F1.8, a combination that produces incredible detail and is just perfect for intimate, close-up portraits, ring shots, and those quieter in-between moments that often become the couple’s favourites.
Each wedding at Oakwood House has offered something unique—different lighting, different energy, different stories to tell—and it’s been a pleasure capturing those memories for every couple. If you’re planning your own wedding here, this collection should give you a good sense of the versatility of the venue and the style of images you can expect.
