Twilight wedding photography from £697

The twilight package covers 6 hours of wedding photography, plus an A1 table plan and 100 table cards printed for you, for £697 complete, including VAT. It’s designed for weddings that start later and run into the evening, which usually need less stationery than a full day. If you’d like full-day cover with invitations and order of service booklets too, the full-day package is £997.

Golden hour and evening light

A twilight wedding puts golden hour right in the middle of your day. We’ll step away for ten or fifteen minutes as the sun goes down for relaxed couple portraits in warm, soft light. As evening falls, I photograph the atmosphere: candlelight on the tables, fairy lights, the first dance and the party in full swing. Low light is one of my favourite things to work with, and I bring discreet lighting where it’s needed so nothing is lost after dark.

Perfect for registry office and smaller weddings

Twilight timings suit registry office ceremonies followed by a meal or evening reception, micro weddings and venues that offer reduced rates for later starts. I regularly photograph ceremonies at Oakwood House in Maidstone, and the package works just as well for a country house, barn or garden venue.

How I work on the day

I arrive promptly, talk you through what’s happening and keep group photos quick and painless, then step back and let the evening unfold naturally. Every wedding is shot on two cameras, including a 100-megapixel Fuji GFX medium format camera, so every moment has a backup.

Twilight weddings across Kent

I’m based in Maidstone and photograph twilight weddings across Kent, from Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks to Canterbury and Ashford, as well as London, Sussex, Surrey and Essex.

Questions people ask

What is a twilight wedding?

A twilight wedding starts later in the day, usually mid to late afternoon, so the ceremony, drinks and meal lead into the evening reception. It’s often more relaxed and more affordable, as many venues charge less for later start times.

What's included in the twilight package?

Six hours of wedding photography, an A1 table plan and 100 table cards, all for £697. Every wedding is shot on two cameras, including a 100-megapixel Fuji GFX medium format camera.

How is it different from the full-day package?

The full-day package is £997 and includes 8 hours of photography plus 100 invitations, 100 order of service booklets, 100 table cards and an A1 table plan. Twilight weddings are usually shorter and need less stationery, so the twilight package is streamlined to match.

Do evening photos come out well in low light?

Yes. Evening light is one of my favourite atmospheres to photograph. I work with the soft glow of sunset, fairy lights and candlelight, and bring discreet lighting where it’s needed, so the dance floor and late moments look as good as the ceremony.

When is golden hour for our photos?

It depends on the time of year. In summer it can be after 8pm, while in winter the sun sets around 4pm. Tell me your date and venue and I’ll suggest the best time to slip away for couple portraits.

Can we book the twilight package for a registry office wedding?

Yes. It suits registry office ceremonies followed by a meal or evening party, such as at Oakwood House in Maidstone.

Which areas do you cover?

I’m based in Maidstone and photograph twilight weddings across Kent, London, Sussex, Surrey and Essex.

Is your evening date still free?

Send me your date and venue and I'll confirm availability, usually the same day.
