How much does a wedding photographer cost in Kent?
It’s one of the first questions every couple asks, and one of the hardest to compare, because packages vary so much. Here’s an honest guide to what wedding photography costs in Kent, what you’re paying for, and how to compare quotes fairly.
The average cost of a wedding photographer in the UK
Bridebook’s 2026 Wedding Report puts the average UK spend on a wedding photographer at £1,484, and suggests couples in London and the South East typically pay around £1,700 to £2,000. A 2025 survey of 63 professional UK wedding photographers by Fearless Photographers found an average of £2,100 for a full-day package of around 10 hours.
So in Kent, it’s common to see full-day quotes anywhere from under £1,000 to well over £2,500.
What affects the price
- Hours of coverage. A twilight or registry office wedding needs fewer hours than a full day from getting ready to the first dance.
- What’s included. Some packages include albums, prints, a second photographer or an engagement shoot; others charge for these separately.
- Editing time. Every wedding involves many hours of selecting and editing after the day itself.
- Experience and equipment. Low-light skill, backup cameras and professional kit all matter when you only get one chance.
- Travel. Venues further from the photographer’s base may add travel costs.
- Time of year and day of the week. Saturdays in summer are in highest demand.
My wedding packages
I keep my pricing simple, with everything included in one price:
- Full-day wedding, £997 including VAT: 8 hours of photography from getting ready to the first dance, plus 100 invitations, 100 order of service booklets, 100 table cards and an A1 table plan, all printed.
- Twilight wedding, £697 including VAT: 6 hours of photography, plus 100 table cards and an A1 table plan.
Every wedding is shot on two cameras, including a 100-megapixel medium format camera, so every moment has a backup. Because the stationery is included, it can also save you a separate printing bill. See the full wedding photography page for details.
Questions to ask when comparing quotes
- How many hours of coverage are included, and what does extra time cost?
- Roughly how many edited photos will we receive, and how soon?
- Is VAT included in the price?
- Are there travel costs for our venue?
- What happens if a camera fails on the day? Is there a backup?
- Are albums, prints or stationery included, or extra?
- Have you photographed at our venue, or somewhere similar?
Comparing packages on these points, rather than on headline price alone, makes it much easier to see what you’re really getting.
